Internship in Systematic: Business Intelligence// 16. oktober 2018
Are you interested in an internship at an innovative and forward-looking software company? And are you passionate about creating insight and converting data into knowledge and making a difference across industries and sectors? If so, you could be the person we are looking for.
More than just a job – you will be helping to make a difference
We have already made good progress in the creation of a BI team that designs, develops, implements, and optimises BI solutions for our software products. The huge demand for BI and data-driven solutions from our customers will give you a broad network of contacts both in terms of products and projects as well as various groups of professionals, customers, and partners.
The internship involves a hands-on approach to tasks in relation to developing and implementing BI solutions. Tasks vary from basic BI architecture solutions to complex BI solutions tailored to customers’ needs and requirements. We will also focus on building up knowledge and methods, and in particular an effective team, in which you enjoy working and will have room to grow as a BI intern. This means you will be able to make your mark on the BI team and the way we work.
Dedicated, quality-minded, and driven
As a BI intern, you will be part of a talented team involved in every phase of the BI project but focusing primarily on back-end development and support. In addition, you will assist in translating user and customer needs and wishes into concrete solutions. It is important that you work systematically and keep a close eye on the details. You are driven by the quality of your work and you take pride in understanding complex solutions and the challenges the customer faces.
It is a plus if you have good communication skills combined with good business acumen, and that you enjoy contributing to a wide variety of assignments. We expect that you have a passionate interest in BI and a considerable drive to make a difference.
As a BI intern you will get the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and expertise. We expect that you have practical experience in SQL and ideally have knowledge of and experience in the following areas:
- SQL Server
- Developing and maintaining databases and cubes
- Data modelling and analysis
- Data visualisation in TARGET or Microsoft PowerBI
The internship will last between five and six months, starting in January/February 2019. Provisionally, the internship will be full-time, but naturally we are flexible in relation to your studies and ECTS points requirements. This is a paid internship, if your studies allow it.
Want to be part of the BI team?
Ideally you are studying IT, computer science, mathematics, IT engineering, MSc in BI, or similar. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team. It is vital that you have a solid understanding of the interplay between people, technologies, and processes, and that you are organised, analytical, and motivated. You can act proactively and with great commitment. Additionally, it is a requirement that you are able to read and understand Danish.
Freedom with responsibility
As an intern at Systematic, you will be treated as any other employee. You will be part of a team from day one and be involved in performing the team’s tasks. To a large extent, you will be able to organise your working day and, following a thorough introduction to the project and domain, you will be able to handle tasks independently in the team. We will strive to strike a good balance between your personal wishes and formal study requirements and our expectations and priorities. The most important thing for us is that you learn a lot and have fun while you are here, and that you get ample opportunity for professional and personal development.
We work with security-classified projects, and therefore, you as an employee at Systematic need to have security clearance. Read more here: http://systematic.com/clearance.
